Finding Strength in Shared Connection

Grief is deeply personal, but no widow should walk this road alone. TWC Connect exists to help you build meaningful relationships with other women who truly understand, because they’ve been there too. Every connection is made with care, compassion, and respect, honoring your unique journey while offering the comfort of shared experience. Whether you’re looking for quiet, one-on-one support or the chance to meet others in a small group, TWC Connect offers connection at your pace, in your way, and always with empathy.

Ways to Connect Through TWC

We offer several ways to meet and build relationships, because grief looks different for everyone, and so does connection.

One-on-One Connect

Sometimes, big groups feel like too much, especially early on in the healing journey. One-on-One Connect is a gentle, low-pressure starting point that pairs you with another widow for meaningful conversation, shared encouragement, and quiet understanding. One-on-one connect is ideal for those who prefer deeper connection without the overwhelm of a crowd.

Pop-Up Happy Hours

When we meet a new widow, we often host a relaxed get-together with a few local women in similar life stages or with shared interests. These pop-up gatherings are warm, casual, and welcoming—often over a glass of wine, laughter, and honest conversation. These pop-up happy hours are where friendships begin naturally and without pressure.

Large Group Events

These large events are full of energy, encouragement, and inspiration. They’re a chance to expand your circle and meet women you may not have crossed paths with otherwise. Hearing someone else’s story can spark hope in your own—and just as often, you might be the encouragement someone else needed.

The best part? Watching women exchange phone numbers, make plans, and begin doing life together. Some have even shared photos from trips they’ve taken together—vacations to places like Mexico that started with a simple introduction. It’s a powerful reminder that we do this best together.

How We Build Meaningful Connections

1Location

Being close to one another makes it easier to meet in person, whether for coffee, a walk, or simply to sit together in shared understanding. Local connections create the foundation for strong support systems within your own community. They also make it easier to stay connected, build routines, and show up for one another in everyday ways.

2 Stage of Life

Widowhood looks different depending on your life stage, whether you’re raising kids, managing a career, or entering retirement. Connecting with someone who’s in a similar season helps conversations flow more naturally and makes you feel understood without having to explain everything. It allows you to navigate the complexities of life and grief alongside someone walking a similar path.

3Shared Values

We believe it’s easier to connect when there’s something in common. Whether it’s a shared faith, love of the outdoors, a passion for books, or simply a similar sense of humor, these natural points of connection help create ease in conversation and open doors to joy, even in the midst of grief. Doing something you both love can be deeply healing and give you something beautiful to look forward to.

4Outcomes

Every widow enters this space with different needs. Some are looking for short-term support through a tough season, while others hope to build lifelong friendships. We do our best to align those hopes so expectations are clear, and the connection feels mutual, safe, and rewarding for everyone involved.

5Diversity

We honor the power of shared experience, but we also believe that different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives bring richness and wisdom to our community. Diversity invites us to learn from one another, to widen our understanding of grief, and to deepen our compassion. Every story matters—and your voice adds value to the whole.
